About us

UAB Ecso was founded in 2009. At the beginning, the main activity of the company was the collection and preparation of secondary raw materials for sorting. Polyethylene film and cardboard waste were mainly collected from supermarket networks, after that they were sorted, pressed and delivered to recyclers. With time, the company gained the trust of its clients and naturally the need arose to have its own processing plant. At the end of 2015, UAB Ecso opened a factory and started independent plastic processing and pellet production activities.

UAB Ecso produces pellets from secondary raw materials according to customer orders and individual needs. A great deal of emphasis is on quality: the raw materials are re-sorted̄ two times and then is washed, chipped, melted and filtered to verify that the customer will receive a high-quality product.

VISION

We are operating in the field of recycling of secondary raw materials from 2009;
Since 2011 we have a strong sorting department (the raw materials for the production of plastic pellets is re-sorted a whole two times there);
In the year 2015 we opened a factory and started plastic processing and pellet production activities;
In the year 2019 we have purchased a second production line, which not only allows to increase the quantities of recycled materials, but also provides better washing of the highly contaminated film and improves the quality of production;
During the years of 2019 - 2020 we provided intensive investments in process stabilization, construction and building reconstruction;
In the year 2020 we started to produce products from household film. We are pleased to have been able to find technological solutions to recycle raw material of this quality. We are the first company in Lithuania to work with this type of film;
At the end of 2021 we started an investment project to automate plastic recycling and ensure the quality of pellets. During the project, it is planned to purchase innovative automatic sorting equipment, filters and a smart laboratory.
On 29 January 2021 UAB „Granulės” and UAB EKO TARNYBA were reorganized by way of merger, merging these companies into UAB „Ecso“. UAB „Ecso“ took over all assets, rights and obligations of UAB „Granulės“ and UAB EKO TARNYBA. The purpose of the envisaged addition of above-mentioned companies to UAB “Ecso” is to improve economic activity, reduce operating costs, optimize ancillary businesses.
In 2022 we entered a new stage in our company’s development, following the aquisition of UAB Ecso by GreenGroup, a leading regional integrated recycling group and circular economy enabler, with 20 years of history on the recycling market.

During 2022, we have processed over 26 000 tons of raw materials and we produced 20 600 tons of plastic pellets from it.

We supply our products to customers in Lithuania, Germany, Finland and other countries. We do not think about stopping as we continue to successfully expand the limits of our activities and cooperate with foreign markets, which help the company to create economic value.

In order to improve the quality of the company management and service processes, ensure a successful and targeted company development, as well as a stable and competitive position in the market, Ecso JSC has obtained ISO 14001: 2015 standard certification.
